Aviemore is the skiing capital of Scotland and its premier ski resort – there really isn’t anywhere better to come within the UK for skiing, snowboarding or ski mountaineering.
If you havent been before, Cairngorm offer a few hints and tips to help you make the best of the resort.
For the 2018-19 season, unfortunately, the Funicular Railway is currently closed for inspection, but the slopes can still be accessed by ski lifts when the snow comes. In the meantime, beginners slopes are fed by a brand new snow machine so they're operational, even if the snow is late. We'll keep you updated as to the situation with the Funicular as news becomes available.
Cairngorm Mountain Snow School is currently not operating because of the issues with the Funicular BUT they offer access to their beginners slopes via Aviemore School of Snow Sports, Freeski and SkiNorwest. These companies all offers lessons and the latest new equipment.
